Defending Public Education

My name is Seema Dixit, and I am running for the school board position to represent the parents and students of Sully District. I have been a resident of Sully District since 2004. I am a mother of 2 FCPS students.

My husband and I immigrated to the US from India and worked diligently to afford our kids with a wonderful life. We are deeply appreciative of the magnificent opportunities that we have been blessed with through living in Fairfax County. We will forever be thankful to the teachers, elected officers, and other resources that have enabled our children to reach their fullest potential

WHY I’M RUNNING

As your next school board member, I am committed to creating a fair and inclusive educational system that provides every student with the opportunity to achieve their full potential. My vision for the school district is one of equity and excellence, where every student, regardless of their background, has access to high-quality education and support services.

By running for the FCPS School Board, I aim to transform this vision into action. I am excited to work with you, our community, and our educators to shape policies and decisions that prioritize student success and create a stronger, more inclusive, and more promising future for Fairfax County. Together, we can make a real and lasting impact on our schools. Join me on this important journey.

I have personally seen how far our children can go with the academic opportunities we have to offer. However, that also means I have seen where we can improve. Many of our most vulnerable students, like those with special needs, still see gaps in their education. We must improve our education to serve them. All of us want our children to have a better and brighter future. We have come so far, and I hope to continue the progress we’ve made. I will do my best to support FCPS Students, their families, and our most hardworking teachers and administrators
